Fulfilling the need for a compact RFID printing solution that can encode
smart labels at the point of use, the R2844-Z printer/encoder is one of
the most versatile in the industry! Designed for printing and encoding
smart media such as wristbands and smart labels, the R2844-Z meets the
needs of applications requiring greater processing speed and more connectivity
choices—such as standard serial, parallel, and USB ports, and optional
internal Ethernet. It also offers the widest range of supported 13.56
MHz HF RFID transponders.
With a compact footprint, and processor that delivers faster print speed,
it is the ideal solution for low-volume desktop applications, including
express parcel delivery, library book/video check-out, sensitive document
tracking, supply chain management (source tagging), ticketing (sports,
concerts, etc.), and pharmaceuticals.

to Zebra’s popular Z Series® platform and set the new standard

tagging compliance initiatives. These metal printer/encoders offer EPC
Gen 2 support, high-speed print throughput, and rugged reliability to
enhance productivity in tough environments and lower duty cycle applications.
The RZ series RFID printer/encoders connect easily with most warehouse/
manufacturing and business applications. The RZ400 and RZ600
are better connected to your network—through USB 2.0, 802.11b/g
secure wireless, or Ethernet. They’re better connected to your applications—
with multiple RFID power settings to adjust to current and future RFID
protocols, transponder designs and sizes; choice of print resolution including
300 dpi; and XML-Enabled printing as a standard
feature. And they’re better connected to your needs—with easy
setup via a large, easy-to-read front panel that includes Asian-language
support; easy loading of supplies; and easy maintenance with quick-changing
printheads and platens.
Built on the solid, tested XiIIIPlus platform, the R110Xi (for 4-inch
labels) and the R170Xi (for 6-inch labels) offer an unprecedented level
of on-demand printing flexibility in tag placement as well as unique features
such as XML for seamless integration into enterprise systems, automatic
calibration, flexible inlay positioning, multiple power levels, statistics
tracking, easier RFID programming and more detailed information through
the front panel display.
The R110Xi and R170Xi feature the ThingMagic RFID reader module which
offers the flexibility needed to guarantee a simple, cost-free upgrade
path to emerging RFID protocols.
The R110Xi and R170Xi support currently available protocols, including
EPC Gen 1 Class 1, EPC Gen 1 Class 0, EPC Gen 2 Class 1, Matrics 0+, ISO18000-06,
and Philips UCODE 1.19. Because the printers/encoders are firmware upgradeable
to support new protocols, users are assured that they can seamlessly upgrade
to future RFID protocols as needed.
